An entrepreneur is one who combines resources, land, labor, materials, knowledge and other assets that make their value greater than before, introduces changes, innovations and a new order. The entrepreneur is one who creates wealth and generates employment. The function of the entrepreneur is to reform or revolutionize the pattern of production by exploiting an invention or more generally an untried technology method of producing a new commodity, or producing an old one in a new way, opening a new source of supply of material or a new outlet or uses for products by organizing a new industry. The driving force to become an entrepreneur is the desire to be self-governing. Another motivating factor is the need for achievement and recognition.
